Upgrade Frequently Asked Questions for Windows (FAQ)

Step 1:  Locate DVMAX Version Below

Locate your current DVMAX version below and use the document links in the right column to upgrade.

For Multi-User environments (Server and multiple workstations) consult the following documents:
Your Version Use these documents to upgrade
7.0.10 & Below 1. Verify System Requirements
2. Download the DVMAX Installer (steps below)
3. Upgrade Server to DVMAX 7.0.12r6 (includes Updater)
4. Upgrade DVMAX Client on Workstations
5. Install PDF Driver on all DVMAX Client workstations

Your Version Use these docments to upgrade
7.0.11 & Higher 1. Download the DVMAX Updater ONLY (steps below)
2. Patch Server to DVMAX 7.0.12r6 with DVMAX Updater
3. Install PDF Driver on all DVMAX Client workstations

For Single User environments consult the following documentation:

3. Upgrade Single User to DVMAX 7.0.12r6 (includes Updater)

7.0.11 & Higher 1. Download the DVMAX Updater ONLY (steps below)
2. Patch Single User to DVMAX 7.0.12r6 with DVMAX Updater
3. Install PDF Driver


Step 2: Download for DVMAX 7.0.12r6 Installer and Updater

Depending on what your requirements are from Step 1, you need to either grab both the full DVMAX Installer and the DVMAX Updater, or just the DVMAX Updater.

 

Navigate to your user site at http://users.dvmax.com. Login as an Administrative User and proceed to the Downloads tab.

In the Installers section you can find and download: 
  • 7.0.12r6 Patch for Windows (Updater Only)
  • DVMAX 7.0.12 Windows Installer (full installer)

Once the appropriate files are downloaded, follow the instructions for your version to complete the update.
