Welcome to DVMAX Advisor! In this edition, Tech Support has listed several useful documents that will help with year-end procedures and with enhancing DVMAX. We are also announcing a new feature that will be demoed at the Orlando NAVC - DVMAX PACS Link.
After a year under difficult economic conditions, we see a definite upswing in investments by existing practices, and in the opening of new practices. This tells us that the economic “cloud” that settled over the US last fall is finally lifting. We hope our customers are seeing this at their front desks as well. This coming year will bring a flurry of new services, features and integrations for DVMAX that will allow us to deliver more value to you through your DVMAX system. These will let you do more in your practice with less effort and less time. Stay tuned for announcements coming in the New Year, and be sure to visit us at the NAVC and WVC meetings in January to see these in use. We wish all our DVMAX users a wonderful holiday season!

DVMAX will be previewing a new PACS service at the NAVC, January 16-20 in Orlando.
DVMAX PACS link is a newly integrated digital radiography feature in DVMAX Practice. DVMAX users can now request digital radiography, view resulting medical images, and attach medical images to a patient record all within the practice management software.
DVMAX PACS link is the result of a joint effort between DVMAX and SecureRad, a PACS solution provider. This partnership allows DVMAX to offer an affordable PACS system that is much less expensive and more flexible then other systems on the market.
DVMAX and the SecureRad PACS software work together to provide full DICOM medical image viewing directly from a patient record. Because the imaging software is based on a progressive open source product, it is constantly being enhanced to deliver the fastest transmission speeds possible. You can expect download speed of several seconds compared to several minutes on other PACS systems.
The open-source imaging software also provides an integrated MWL (modality work list) that takes image requests from DVMAX and passes them on the medical imaging equipment such as X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI and CT. In addition, this software allows for distributed viewing on multiple workstations with no additional licensing fees.
